Refund Policy

Last updated: August 8, 2026

We want you to be confident that ProofPilot is worth paying for. This policy explains how billing, cancellation, and refunds work on paid ProofPilot plans.

No long-term contracts

ProofPilot subscriptions are billed monthly (or annually, if you choose an annual plan) with no long-term contract. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time from your account settings — there is no minimum commitment period and no early termination fee.

7-day refund window on new subscriptions

If you're not satisfied within your first 7 days on a paid plan, contact support@proofpilot.dev and we'll issue a full refund for that billing period — no questions asked. This applies the first time you subscribe to a paid plan, and again any time you upgrade to a new plan tier for the first time.

After the refund window

Once your 7-day window has passed, subscription fees are non-refundable for the remainder of that billing period. We don't prorate or refund partial months or partial years if you cancel partway through a billing cycle. Instead, cancellation stops future billing and your plan simply is not renewed.

Cancellation is effective at the end of your billing period

When you cancel, you keep full access to your paid plan's features through the end of the billing period you've already paid for. Your subscription then ends and you will not be charged again. Your account and data are not deleted immediately on cancellation; if you decide to come back, you can resubscribe and pick up where you left off, subject to our standard data retention practices described in our Privacy Policy.

Billing errors and exceptions

If you believe you were charged in error — for example, billed after you canceled, or charged twice for the same period — contact us and we will investigate and correct genuine billing mistakes regardless of the 7-day window. We also consider refund requests on a case-by-case basis for extended service outages or other extraordinary circumstances attributable to us.

How to request a refund or cancel

To cancel your subscription, go to Settings → Billing in your ProofPilot dashboard and select "Cancel subscription." To request a refund under this policy, email support@proofpilot.dev from the address on your account, including your workspace name and the billing date in question. Refunds are issued to the original payment method and typically appear within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.
